Using FolioCV

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of FolioCV, a web-based resume creation, editing, storage and PDF-export service. By using FolioCV, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Beta service

FolioCV is currently offered as a free public beta. Features may change and occasional errors or interruptions may occur. We do not currently collect subscription payments through the beta service. We will explain any future paid plans and terms before charging users.

2. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, use your own authorized Google account or another supported sign-in method, and protect your account access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.

3. Your resume content

You retain rights to resume content you provide. You grant FolioCV a limited permission to process, display and store that content as necessary to operate the service and fulfill actions you request. Do not upload content you lack permission to use, including other people's sensitive information without a lawful basis.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use FolioCV for illegal activity, harassment, phishing, impersonation, attempts to bypass account security, unauthorized access to other users' records, or disruption of the service.

5. Resume accuracy and job outcomes

You are responsible for checking the accuracy of your resume, including dates, qualifications and contact details, before sending it to employers. FolioCV is a formatting and editing tool; we do not guarantee interviews, employment offers, or hiring outcomes.

6. Availability and backups

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or permanent storage during the beta. Keep copies of important resumes and exported PDFs. Using local browser drafts does not automatically create a cloud backup; cloud saving requires the relevant user action.

7. Suspension and service changes

We may restrict accounts that violate these Terms or threaten service security, subject to applicable law. We may update, limit or discontinue beta features. Where reasonably practical, we will give notice of material service changes.

8. Deletion and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. To request closure of your FolioCV cloud account and deletion of associated resumes, email foliocv@gmail.com from your account email. Requests may require identity verification and are handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

9. Disclaimers and liability

FolioCV is provided on an “as available” beta basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our responsibility for losses is limited only to the extent allowed by applicable law.
